Deafinitely Theatre is a Deaf-led theatre company based in London with a new radical and visual presence in theatre. Its vision is to become a leading independent theatre company promoting innovative work by new writers and Deaf groups, in a language that can be understood by all.
The Artistic Director, Paula Garfield, briefed us to create an A3 poster, flyers and a programme brochure that they could use to promote their forthcoming performances.
Our task was to create a design that would capture their target audience.
It was a very successful campaign; the theatre was fully booked for every performance and over 42,000 flyers were distributed through various channels including SignMatters magazine, Deafinitely Theatre, Soho Theatre, Drill Hall and Edinburgh Fringe Festival mailing lists, Schools, Colleges and Universities etc.
We understand, first hand, the importance that design brings to include both a Deaf and hearing audience.
Deafinitely Theatre has now gone on a National Tour around the UK, along with their new marketing material.
