Gunnersbury Park

Gunnersbury Park Museum is the local history museum for the London Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow. The museum’s role is to collect, keep safe and display the past and present history of the two boroughs.

In 2007, Gunnersbury Park Museum underwent the Museums, Libraries and Archives (MLA) Access audit. They were recommended to contact us to develop a new leaflet promoting the Museum and Education Services to the local schoolchildren, teachers and the community in Ealing and Hounslow areas.

We identified two target audiences: families and schools. As a result we directed a photoshoot to develop new images for the museum.

We created accessible and inclusive leaflets which communicated a strong clear message. 6,500 of these were printed and distributed to schools and community centres.

The finished leaflet was innovative, eye-catching, cost effective and delivered on time and to budget. Audience feedback was positive.

The product was a clear and inviting leaflet with new photography and copyediting. It improved the visibility and brand awareness of Gunnersbury Park Museum with an 85% increase in audience attendance by local schoolchildren, teachers and community.

The client had the benefit of our expertise in access, inclusiveness and diversity adhering to the needs of the Arts sector.

For print production, we sourced and used environmental and sustainable materials.

Testimonial

“MLA London (the grant givers for the museum leaflet) are so thrilled with the design that they want to put it on their website.”
